Marissa is a proud Kamilaroi/Gomeroi woman. She was raised on Gubbi Gubbi land in Queensland and is currently residing on Wurundjeri land in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

As an artist and weaver, Marissa incorporatestraditional Kamilaroi art symbols into her work to create unique storytelling pieces. As an award winning artist she is deeply passionate about her culture and takes great pride in sharing it with others.
